My Meniere's 'Twin' sent me a note about this website. I'm so excited to be able to have something tangible to hand out. Not that any of couldn't recite symptoms in pig latin; but giving someone a card, they'll run across it now and again and be reminded that tey know someone that has been blessed with this disease. I've written a poam about Meniere's, may I e-mail it to you? Lorelei L Patton

Hi, I found your site through a link on www.menieresinfo.com, and I am so glad I did! It is great to see that people like us have some encouraging news and information about this rare disease. It is very hard to deal with this on a day to day basis, and I have purchased your dvd to help my family and friends better understand what Meniere's feels like. What a breakthrough and inventive way to help sufferers show what it's like to others. Kudos to you and please continue the research! Marlene California, USA

I am the award-winning author of the teen novel The Mask of Tamirella. I work, play, and do generally what everybody else can do but I have Meniere's Disease. In March of 2003, after bouts of vertigo, tinnitus and other symptoms that left me exhausted, occasionally in tears and generally stressed out, I was finally diagnosed. The diagnosis was actually a relief, since I found out I wasn't dying, but at the same time I went through the old "why me?" scenario and had myself a nice pity party. Of course, that didn't last forever and I had to get on with my life.

My husband has been a wonderful support during the ups and downs of this disease. In fact, just recently, my ENT told me that I might be in remission as I haven't had a vertigo attack in a year and a half. I did a little jig after I left her office. I'm so glad to feel almost normal again. Of course, I still have the tinnitus--that will never go away. And you won't get me on a boat, even with the most effective motion sickness meds, because they don't work on water. I also have slight hearing loss. But my hearing was above average to start with so even with the hearing loss, I'm still in the normal range. I consider myself very lucky.

Thank you for all the work you are doing for Meniere's sufferers. We need a cure!

Hi - I found your site while doing some research on mold allergies. I am wondering if there is a connection as I get extremely dizzy along with itchy, watery ears. Some days I can't even function - it is hard to think, remember things and focus on or read things. I battle exhaustion constantly. I also get occular migraines. The first time I dealt with this(2000), my doctor thought I had an inner ear leakage and operated to "patch" the leak, but it didn't cure the problem. I then moved from my home which we found had severe mold issues and after a few months, my dizziness subsided. It would reoccur periodically, usually at times of stress or exhaustion. I then went symptom free for about a year. It has come back in the past couple of months, but I attributed it to living in another home which had moldy duct work. I moved three weeks ago, but am still fighting dizziness, itchy ears, exhaustion, etc. Is this possibly the same thing? I notice my left ear starts the whole process off when symptoms begin to show and has shooting pains inside and itchiness along with fluid build up. My email is mjburnem@yahoo.com. If you could email back to me to let me know what you think, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Heather Burnem
